Jamal Crawford Signs with LA Clippers

Veteran Guard Returns to NBA After Two-Year Hiatus

Crawford Inks Three-Year, $42 Million Contract

The Los Angeles Clippers have signed veteran guard Jamal Crawford to a three-year, $42 million contract, the team announced on Monday. Crawford, 40, last played in the NBA in 2020 with the Phoenix Suns.

Crawford is a three-time NBA Sixth Man of the Year award winner and has averaged 14.6 points per game over his 20-year career. He brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the Clippers, who are looking to make a deep playoff run this season.

"Jamal is a proven winner and a great addition to our team," Clippers president of basketball operations Lawrence Frank said in a statement. "He's a skilled scorer and playmaker who can provide us with a much-needed boost off the bench."

Crawford said he is excited to join the Clippers and contribute to their success.

"I'm grateful for this opportunity to join the Clippers and play alongside some of the best players in the game," Crawford said. "I'm confident that I can help this team achieve its goals."

Crawford's signing gives the Clippers a much-needed boost in their backcourt. With Paul George and Kawhi Leonard both dealing with injuries, Crawford will be relied upon to provide scoring and playmaking off the bench.

Crawford has made over $124 million in his NBA career. He has also won an NBA championship with the Golden State Warriors in 2017.
